VMware, the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, has announced that VMware is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant for x86 Server Virtualization Infrastructure for the fifth year in a row.
According to Gartner, “The x86 server virtualization infrastructure market is the foundation for two extremely important market trends that relate and overlap: infrastructure modernisation and cloud computing.”
“Customers of all sizes rely on VMware’s virtualization software at the core of their data centres and as a key building block in their hybrid cloud environments,” said Wayne Biehn, regional manager Africa: West East Central Southern Africa (WECA), at VMware. “We believe VMware’s placement in the Leader’s Quadrant for five consecutive years highlights the impact our vision, strategy and offerings are having within modern IT environments. Importantly, we continue to innovate and extend virtualization beyond compute to network virtualization and software-defined storage to help our customers dramatically increase IT efficiency, agility and flexibility across data center domains.”
