The World Bank’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) is reported to have approved an investment of $6.5 million for a project to establish wireless broadband networks in three major cities in Cameroon – Douala, Yaoundé, and Edéa.
MIGA granted the funding for the subsidiary of 4G Africa AG of Switzerland, HTT Telecom S.A.
The development is expected to lower Internet tariffs and increase service reliability and availability in Cameroon.
