Tigo Tanzania has started upgrading and expanding its 2G and 3G networks and adding new ones across the country
The telco says the upgrade will improve the networks’ capacities, responsiveness and service quality.
According to a statement issued recently by Tigo General Manager Marcelo Aleman, the process aims to improve on delivering consumer centric services with the highest standards, enabling customers to stay connected in more places than before.
The statement noted that the upgrade was being carried out while the network was live, so customers may experience some inconvenience over the next few days, but will still be able to access all Tigo products and services in the usual way.
The works related to these upgrades are mostly being done during the late night hours to minimize the impact to customers.
