Samsung is presumably preparing to launch the budget-friendly version of its flagship Galaxy S24 smartphone, called the Galaxy S24 ‘Fan Edition’. The device could be unveiled pretty soon, considering the leaks and rumors surrounding it are getting more concrete.
Galaxy S24 FE Colors Leaked: Blue, Yellow, Gray, Black, And Green
Industry insider Ross Young, from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), has revealed the possible colorways for the latest generation Galaxy FE smartphone. According to him, the Galaxy S24 FE will be available in Black, Gray, Light Blue, Yellow, and Light Green.
We already got a sneak-peak at the device in a light green colorway when its renders were leaked on X by “@OnLeaks”, hinting at a sleeker design with thinner bezels, akin to the standard Galaxy S24.
The render also revealed the triple camera set up on the back of the phone that is stacked vertically without any borders or casing. On the front, there is a centrally positioned hole-punch layout that will house the selfie camera.
Samsung has seemingly increased the display size to 6.65 inches with a bezel that is significantly slimmer than the Galaxy S23, which came out in 2023. The display is also bigger compared to the 6.4-inch panel on the Galaxy S24.
Galaxy S24 FE To Be Available With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Or Samsung Exynos 2400 Chipsets
Based on the market, the S24 FE is rumored to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chips could be paired with up to 12GB RAM. On the storage front, Samsung will offer the FE in two variants: 128GB UFS3.1 and 256GB UFS4.0.
The phone’s battery capacity is tipped to remain unchanged at 4,500mAh as the Galaxy S23 FE.
According to renders, the S24 FE will look identical to the S23 FE, but with minor design tweaks. Samsung has moved the SIM card tray to the top of the phone instead of being next to the USB-C port at the bottom.
The S24 FE is rumored to have a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN3 primary sensor, alongside a 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP or 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Rumors Suggest Samsung Will Prioritize Black Version of S24 FE In Production
There are also reports that the black variant will be produced in the highest volume because it is the most sought-after color option. Looks like the classic Galaxy color is set to dominate the market once more.
Samsung will no doubt come up with some fancy monikers for its colors as part of a marketing strategy. In the past, we have seen names like Mint, Cream, and Graphite instead of green, white, and black. There will also be other color options that Samsung has reserved for certain retailers and carriers.
The Galaxy S24 FE could ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in North America, while the Exynos 2400 version is most likely to be sold in the Asian and African markets. Samsung could integrate some Galaxy AI features into the device, but it will be exclusive to the ones powered by the Snapdragon chipset.
Samsung has yet to reveal the official launch date for the Galaxy S24 FE, but rumors point to a release in late 2024 or early 2025.
