The South Korean smartphone giant officially announced the arrival of Samsung Pay – a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Samsung that allows users to make payments using Samsung smartphones – in India. The service is currently available in over 25 countries, including the United States and China.
Samsung users can store their credit and debit cards on the Samsung Wallet to make easy payments. It also lets you carry digital IDs, flight boarding passes, driving licenses, movie tickets, and more, conveniently and securely on Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G sport several design changes, with the former getting a metal frame while the latter gets a glass back, for the first time. Both phones boast the brilliant 6.6-inch Super AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth and fluid scrolling and swiping effect, and an immersive viewing experience.
The phones have Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front and back and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, which makes them tough and durable for everyday use. They can withstand up to 30 minutes submerged in 1 meter of fresh water and survive slips and falls.
The Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G retain the Galaxy S24-inspired triple camera with a floating design and a linear layout. Both models get optical image stabilization to ensure that images and videos captured on them are crisp and clear.
The new A-series cameras get enhanced AI features that can suggest edits, allowing users to glam up their pictures, Object Eraser to remove reflections and photo bombers, and portrait effect to help focus on the important subject in the image. The Galaxy A55 5G can now be specced with up to 12GB of RAM. Both phones are powered by a 5,000 mAh battery pack with 25W charging and come out of the box with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. The A55 5G and A35 5G will be available with 128GB and 256GB of storage.
Samsung Knox Vault Is Now On The A-Series
For the first time, Samsung is bringing its most innovative security feature – Samsung Knox Vault – to the A-series. The hardware-based security system offers protection against hardware and software attacks by creating a secure execution environment that is physically isolated from the phone’s main processor and memory.
Samsung Knox Vault can protect the most critical data stored on the phone, including PIN codes, passwords, lock screen patterns, and device encryption keys.
