Safaricom now offers Google Free Zone, a new product that allows Safaricom mobile users to access Google+, Gmail and Google Search without incurring data charges.
For Google search, customers will not be charged for pages that are within the Free Zone but for links that redirect outside the Free Zone, customers will get a warning page informing them on the same and that data charges will apply.
To access the service, users should dial *544# and select Google Free Zone. They will then receive a link that they should click to enjoy the service.
