Renzo, another liquid staking platform on the Ethereum blockchain, has launched its claim checker page for the Season 2 airdrop. Eligible users can check their allocation starting from today.
At present the total volume locked in Renzo is $1.42 billion with 4.25% APR. This popularity is primarily driven by the airdrop. After three months of airdrop campaign, Season 2 ended recently. It started in April last week and ended in July last week.
Summary of Renzo Airdrop Season 2
As a strategy manager and liquid staking token provider, Renzo Protocol has gained enormous popularity in the web3 environment. Renzo’s wrapped ezETH and pzETH are the tokens that connect with EigenLayer and Symbiotic.
The Season 2 airdrop was a staking competition. Users staked their ETH to receive ezETH, pzETH, and REZ, the native token of the protocol. Also, ezPoints were rewarded to users according to their activity.
The total prize pool for the Season 2 airdrop is 5% of the total supply of REZ tokens. That means 500 million REZ will be awarded to all the eligible participants according to their performance.
The participants from Season 1 got an additional 10% boost in the campaign. It was started in the Binance launch pool, which increased the protocol’s trustworthiness. The terms & conditions of Season 2 are similar to those of Season 1.
Eligibility Criteria For the Claim
- Renzo ezPoints: Participants need at least 2000 Renzo ezPoints as of July 26th to become eligible. ezPoints are the rewards for minting ezETH, inviting users, and contributing to the Renzo ecosystem.
- Other Criteria: There are no other specific eligibility criteria for the claim. The unclaimed Season 1 tokens will go to higher ezETH, pzETH, or REZ holders. Also, those who do any fraudulent activities will not be eligible for any of the benefits.
How to Check the Claim?
- Access Claim Checker: Visit the Renzo Protocol and find the link to the Claim Checker. It will be available on the front page.
- Connect Your Wallet: You can use Binance Web3 Wallet, OKX Wallet, MetaMask, Ronin, WalletConnect, or Coinbase Wallet to connect.
- Check Eligibility: If you are eligible you will see your claimable total allocation. If you have all the eligibility criteria but the system is showing that you are not eligible, please visit the Renzo Discord announcements channel and submit a dispute form.
How to Withdraw Your REZ Tokens?
REZ tokens are listed in popular centralized exchanges like Binance, Kraken, Gate.io, KuCoin, and HTX. Users can transfer REZ to these exchanges. REZ can be swapped to ETH and USDC via decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and DeGate.
Upcoming Airdrops & Competitions from Renzo
As said earlier, Renzo is in a stage of high user flow and nuanced upgrades. They have been hiring new employees, especially for marketing. We can see new airdrops and competitions in the future.
Renzo has partnered with various crypto ventures to enhance the staking experience. The ongoing boosted APR campaign of Renzo created discussions among web3 restakers.
Final Thoughts
With Ethereum restaking protocols users can restake their already staked ETH for higher yields. In the initial stages, major concerns were the scalability and security but protocols like Renzo created a secure and stable market for the restakers.
Renzo has been used many many, locking around one and a half billion worth of assets. If the regulatory criteria become crypto-friendly, we can see an increase in the amount.
Renzo Protocol is one of the emerging networks in the DeFi space, and with its success, it will launch more competitions soon. Stakers are now waiting for an official update regarding the Season 3 Airdrop.
