Glo: no ultimatum

The Head of Public Relation at Global Communication Limited Ghana, Ekow Quarcoo has debunked allegations peddled in both local and international media reports that Glo Ghana has been given an ultimatum to roll out its mobile telecommunication services by September this year.
In an exclusive interview with BiztechAfrica , Quarcoo disclosed that his outfit has not received any official communiqué from the Minister of Communication or the national regulator National Communication Authority instructing or ordering Glo Ghana Ltd to start its operations.
He said the Minister had denied ever making such a statement when he met a section of journalists working within the print media in Ghana. “ It’s an error, the minister has told a number of radio stations in Accra that he was misquoted by the Business Week Newspaper and carried by number of Ghanaian news portals.”
Quarcoo contended that the current healthy relationship that exists between the Ministry of Communication and the National Communication Authority (NCA) has really motivated both parties to work closely together to ensure a successful launch of GLO Mobile Network Services in Ghana.
Commenting on the apparent delay in launching Glo Mobile services in Ghana, the head of Public Relations pointed out that since Glo wants to give its numerous customers quality yet affordable services, it concentrated on building a solid and reliable infrastructure that would cater for the needs of the teaming Ghanaians consumers earning for Glo Ghana to introduce its Mobile Network Services.
He hinted that that Glo will be launching its mobile telecommunication services in Ghana “very soon”.
