Nescafe inspires African bloggers at Start Conference 2014

The Nescafe Start Conference 2014 has ended in Accra with a call on young tech entrepreneurs to use their creative ideas and skills to generate innovative business enterprises that would help create job opportunities for their respective societies.
The Nescafe Start Conference which was held on the theme The Role of the Youth in reshaping the New Africa brought together young, talented and vibrant bloggers from Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Senegal and Ghana to discuss, share ideas and chart a new path using technology as a catalyst to inspire the African youth into taking the initiative to turn their ideas into real business ventures.
Speaking to Biztechafrica the Marketing Manager of Nescafe in charge of Central and West Africa Region, Mr Kayodey Oladepo, mentioned that the assembling of young influential tech leaders across the African continent by Nescafe is to challenge them to get out there and start something positive.
“Young people are the future of this continent and we as an inspiring brand, believe that it is important to do our best possible to support them that is why we come up with the Get Started Africa project, a tour that collected dreams from Central and west Africa,” he said.
Renowned South African motivator Fred Swaniker, who joined the change leaders as the special guest speaker, inspired them to achieve greater heightsby getting started with their various ideas.
Ghana’s renowned blogger Ameyaw Debrah who participated in the Nescafe Start Conference, told Biztechafrica that his involvement in the conference had really helped to expose him to other bloggers within the West African sub region who are very passionate about their respective careers and wanted to impact on society. He described the conference as a good course.
