MTN Cameroon launches ‘fastest internet offer’

MTN Cameroon has officially launched its new offer, MTN Xtra Surf, for high speed internet access.
The new package is based on the revolutionary WIMAX 16 E technology, which provides users with speed, flexibility and mobility. MTN Xtra Surf was presented to a cross-section of high-tech journalists representing major Cameroonian media houses during a press conference, where they were able to experience this new service first-hand during touch and trial sessions.
MTN Xtra Surf offers internet users the best internet access speeds available, says MTN. It will enable users to enjoy bandwidths of up to 2Mbps that shall give them the capacity necessary to download or transfer heavy files at any time.
The package offers a choice between per minute, daily, weekly, monthly and volume tariffs as well as special night access rates. MTN Xtra Surf can be used everywhere in the country as it enjoys vast radio coverage. The towns of Douala and Yaounde are also covered for in-house equipment functioning.
MTN Xtra Surf is also designed for individual or community use. A family pack enables the entire family or several people in an enterprise to access the internet using a single Wi-Fi terminal.
MTN Xtra Surf is free for all users till 31 July 2013, and is expected significantly contribute towards high speed internet access affordability in Cameroon.
