Microsoft was said to be working on an Xbox AI chatbot useful for answering queries, related to gaming previously this year. The company on Monday, November 4 revealed the Support Virtual Agent, an AI-powered feature built for Xbox. The feature is available to select Xbox Insiders on support.xbox.com from November 4 onwards which can answer questions related to the Xbox game console and game support issues.
Xbox users from the United States and English as the preferred language who have signed into the account and have a registered Xbox Insider Program can access the Support Virtual Agent by visiting support.xbox.com.
Support Virtual Agent feature can be accessed from the Contact Us page on support.xbox.com by signing on to the same account registered for the Xbox Insider Program. After clicking the Ask a Question option, Support Virtual Agent will be available in a new browser window.
Questions can be asked in the form of text or audio messages and the information will be provided based on the data available on support.xbox.com. Further assistance is provided by a live support agent if asked within Xbox Support’s normal working hours.
The Virtual Agent’s support can be customized as there are two Support Virtual Agents and users can select between these two by clicking on the ellipsis menu icon.
The feature is now rolling out as a preview model aiming to collect feedback from users for its improvisation and development. A thumbs up and thumbs down button is available for each response and a Give Feedback button is also available at the bottom of the page to collect the feedback directly.
The blog post by Xbox senior project manager Megha Dudani that revealed the Support Virtual Agent says that Xbox “value the feedback from Xbox Insiders for this preview experience and any feedback received will be used to improve the Support Virtual Agent.”
Xbox has been providing great customer service for its users and giving them a chance to give suggestions and feedback for an enhanced user experience. The Xbox Insider Program lets users be a part of Xbox’s growth and gain early access to all new features.
Xbox Insider Program can be downloaded on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or Windows PC. Xbox has also created a community of Xbox developers and users through the Xbox Insider subreddit which can be utilized to get quick help. Direct feedbacks are also accepted through the Report a Problem online option on Team Xbox.
