HODLer Airdrops for Simon’s Cat (CAT) and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) Launched by Binance

The Binance platform introduced Simon’s Cat (CAT) and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) into its HODLer Airdrops program. Binance users who hold and subscribe to BNB tokens are rewarded by this initiative. BNB holders are provided with an effortless way to earn tokens.

The subscription window for these airdrops started from December 9 at 00:00 to December 12 at 23:59 UTC. The Simon Cat(1000 CAT) and Pudgy Penguins(PENGU) token rewards will be allocated to the users who participated during these periods.

Snapshots of BNB holdings in Simple Earn products during this period are the eligibility criteria for getting airdrop rewards. The tokens will be distributed to the Spot Wallets of eligible users within 24 hours. The token will be credited an hour before the trading begins.

Airdrop Details and Token Distribution

Binance’s announcement stated that the CAT token would be listed on December 17 at 9:00 UTC. CAT will be traded against the pairs like USDT, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY. The token has a maximum supply of 9 trillion. In which 8.1 trillion are in circulation. In this airdrop, Binance distributes 1.143 trillion CAT tokens. This accounts for 12.7 % of the maximum supply. The listing caused the circulating supply to increase to 7.89 trillion tokens which amounted to 88% of the total supply.

PENGU will become live for trading later on the same day at 14:00 UTC. It will be traded on the platform with similar trading pairs like CAT. The total supply of PENGU coins amounts to 88.89 billion PENGU coins are already minted The airdrop plans to distribute almost 3% of the total tokens amounts to 2.67 billion PENGU tokens. It is estimated that upon listing 70.22% of total tokens amount to 62.42 billion tokens.

Binance users interested in participating in the HODLer airdrop must subscribe their BNB tokens to either Flexible or Locked Simple Earn products. The reward calculator criteria is the historical snapshot of user balance during the subscription period. The exchange explained the selection criterion as a straightforward process for the users expecting passive earnings.

Multiple snapshots of user balances and total pool balances are taken at any point in time to find users’ hourly average balance in Simple Earn Products.
