Helios Towers is to spend over USD40 million on expanding its operations in Ghana.
The company has secured a USD40 million loan facility from the Standard Bank Group to expand its facilities.
Helios recently bought 750 of Millicom’
s towers in Ghana, and took ownership of over 1000 Millicom towers in Tanzania last year.
Earlier this year, holding company Helios Towers Africa announced that it had secured a USD25 million loan equity from the International Finance Corporation for its sub-Saharan expansion.
The company is reported to be aiming to use Ghana as a base for extensive expansion across Africa.
