Ghana tablet PC-maker supports education

Ghana’s Zepto Company Limited, which assembles PCs and a new tablet PC, says it has delivered over 700 PCs to teachers in the past two years.
Zepto is jointly Danish and Ghanaian-owned. It assembles Danish-designed computing hardware and TVs in Accra.
The company routinely awards teachers with laptops at the National Best Teachers Awards, and says it has also delivered on over 700 laptops to teachers who qualified to be part of a project making ICTs available to teachers on a 15-month hire purchase instalment plan.
The company recently brought to market the Zepto Hyper Tab, a 7”, 3G and WiFi-enabled tablet PC running on the Android operating system.
