Former South African President Thabo Mbeki has paid a visit to MTN Cameroon together with Mrs Zanele Makina, High Commissioner of South Africa in Cameroon and Mr. Joseph Beti Assomo, Governor of the Littoral Region.
During his visit, Mbeki interacted with Management and staff present. In his circumstantial address, he congratulated MTNC for its achievement in Cameroon, in spite of the competition by Orange Cameroon and arrival of Viettel, 3rd operator. MTNC staff on their part committed at the level of President Thabo Mbeki to continuously be the best to maintain the leadership position of the MTN brand in Cameroon.
MTNC employees reserved a warm welcome to Mbeki, who did not hesitate to lend his voice to support Education for All, within the framework of the launching of the 2014 edition of the 21 Days of Y’ello programme in Cameroon. This visit took place at the sideline of the 3rd Triennial General Assembly of the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), an event in which President Thabo Mbeki participated this week in Yaounde, Cameroon.
