Forbes, a global media company focused on business, technology, leadership and entrepreneurship has launched Forbes8, a digital channel aimed at improving lives and business processes in Ghana.
The platform which will offer an app-based service will also allow users to log in to watch, listen to seminars, interact with business leaders and provide an opportunity to be mentored by leading business executives.

Speaking at the official launch, Ghana’s Communication Minister, Ursula Owusu Ekuful described Forbes as a credible global brand that has delivered top-notch content in the last century and has evolved seamlessly into the digital realm.
She noted that the introduction of Forbes digital channel, entrepreneurs in Ghana have an invaluable opportunity to tap into a vast stream of resources from world business leaders who will share their achievements and experiences on the app.
“With access to the app we hope Ghanaians business owners strengthen their business partnership, build digital economies and foster innovation and growth in Ghana,” she said.
The minister acknowledged that “Technology is impacting every area of our lives and forcing us to rethink old systems and innovate daily. Building strong entrepreneurial skills through the use of a digital channel like Forbes8 will position Ghanaians to take advantage of the opportunity provided,”.
Mrs. Owusu Ekuful believes that the coming in of Forbes8 new digital app will assist Ghana in its quest to reap the rewards of the digital revolution.
“Mobile technology’s contribution to Africa’s GDP is expected to rise to $ 142 billion, equivalent to 8.6% of GDP by 2020 and Ghana must reap the rewards of the digital revolution. In order to fully reap the benefits of the digital economy for Ghana, we need to effectually pool resources. The digital app offers an excellent opportunity for innovators, technical experts, business start-ups and all other great minds to launch, and grow in their businesses,” she noted.
Forbes8 is a partnership between Forbes and AW3 media with Busy, leaders in the communications sector, their Ghanaian partner.
