The rapid growth of AI agents has led to a massive influx of data. This poses a challenge in recognizing high-quality data from the information. As the importance of AI agents is expanding, the need for tools that help assess their performance and confirm the value of their output has also given rise to the need for them.
Identifying this requirement, Chromia, an open-source decentralized network has launched an initiative called EVAL Engine on their blockchain that helps to evaluate the AI Agents. Chromia fundamentally works to change how information is structured on the blockchain by providing real-time indexing of natively queryable data.
Together with the EVAL Engine, Chromia is also releasing $EVAL token on the Base blockchain which will be initially distributed through an airdrop.
Let us take a closer look at EVAL Engine to learn more about how it works and explore the use cases of $EVAL and how to claim its airdrop.
What is EVAL Engine and how does it work?
EVAL Engine is a powerful array of tools that is built on Chromia’s blockchain. It is designed by the data and AI division of Chromia to provide a transparent and reliable way to evaluate AI agents. This will help to ensure quality and accountability in the continuously growing space of AI-generated content. The platform is expected to have two key features: a Screening Tool and a performance tracking Tool.
- Screening Tool: It helps to evaluate AI-generated content based on four different metrics: Truth, accuracy, creativity, and engagement. This will then generate an objective score that depicts the agent’s performance.
- Performance Tracking Tool: It monitors an agent’s output over a period of time to evaluate its long-term performance trends. This will help in detecting any potential downfall in the agents’ quality and then make necessary changes.
EVAL Engine provides important insights into the long-term performance of agents, which will be especially helpful for AI agent designers. The designers can monitor the output over time and detect any decline in performance.
They can take corrective measures accordingly and thus maintain high standards in their agents. Moreover, it can also be used as an objective quality test, similar to a test score. This can be presented as proof of quality to market participants.
EVAL Engine helps market participants make informed decisions by allowing users to evaluate the performance of AI agents before they commit to investing their assets.
$EVAL Token: Airdrop and Eligibility
$EVAL token is deployed on the Base blockchain through the Virtual Protocol and is set to be launched together with the EVAL Engine. It was originally released as an ERC-20 token and will be used to capture the value generated by interest in, and the usage of the platform.
$EVAL tokens are scheduled to be airdropped towards and of January. The token price and other details of the token are yet to be disclosed. The airdrop is aimed at stakers of $CHR, the native token of Chromia, and chosen Vitrual ecosystem holders. It is designed to reward participants within both ecosystems, Virtual and Chromia.
There is a snapshot of native $CHR stakers scheduled on Monday, 27th January and they will be airdropped $EVAL on Base. The tokens will be airdropped to their EVM address with which their Chromia account was derived.
Additionally, we hear of plans of another $EVAL tokens airdrop in FT4 format targeted to native $CHR stakers on Chromia mainnet after Colorpool’s Automated Market Makers (AMM) decentralized spot exchange is launched.
EVAL Engine Launch Roadmap
EVAL Engine will initially be available as a free-to-access demo for those users who have a registered account on Chromia. This early access model will allow users to experience the platform’s capabilities directly. This will also work to spread awareness and increase the adoption of Chromia. It is a great opportunity for Chromia members to get on the EVAL Engine bandwagon before it gains mainstream adoption.
As the platform evolves, it will change to a subscription-based model that uses an FT4 version of the $EVAL token. This will be only done after the Chromia-Base token bridge is completed, which will facilitate the transfer of $EVAL tokens from one blockchain to the other.
Final Thoughts
The creation of EVAL Engine is a huge milestone in Chromia’s journey to become a key player in the AI-enabled blockchain landscape. This launch will empower Chromia to create new alliances with Virtuals Protocol while they are working to contribute to the upcoming generation of accountable and high-performing AI Agents.
Investors and traders are awaiting more details surrounding the token and its airdrop to decide whether it will prove to be a credible and profitable investment opportunity. As it is with any other cryptocurrency, make sure to conduct thorough research and market study before you commit to any investments.
