Logistics firm DHL has equipped its couriers in its Central Africa and Indian Ocean region with Bluetooth motorcycle helmets.
The move allows the motorcycle couriers to take calls and hear GPS directions while riding. Previously, they had to pull over to take calls.
Bluetooth headsets have been added to the helmets of motorcycles in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Botswana and Swaziland and in the Indian Ocean countries – Mauritius and Madagascar.
