B.Braun Medical Products South Africa, a leading manufacturer of medical products, has implemented Sage 300 Manufacturing and Production Planning modules in an effort to streamline and automate its business processes. Sage Enterprise (formerly Sage ERP Africa) business partner, Cats provided implementation and consulting services for the project.
B.Braun in South Africa is a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading healthcare suppliers. It identified an urgent need to introduce an easy-to-use system that would improve automation and precision in its stock purchasing and production planning environment.
The company, which has used the Sage 300 Manufacturing software since it was established, chose the new solution based on price, performance, functionality, and ease of integration with its other business systems.
Says Willem Kouwenhoven, IT Supervisor at B.Braun Medical Products South Africa: “Managing manufacturing costs, maintaining stock levels, and efficiently scheduling manufacturing orders are critical processes in our business. The Sage 300 solution enables us to streamline the replenishment of stock, creating a purchase order as soon as we need to order more stock. This creates massive efficiencies for our business and allows us to minimize our manufacturing costs and risks.”
“Thanks to the full support of the management team at B.Braun, this implementation was completed smoothly, on time and within budget,” says Wilna Blignaut from Cats. “For B.Braun, Sage 300 Manufacturing delivers benefits across its core business processes, ensuring its manufacturing plant delivers every time, on time. Sage 300 Production Planning is an easy-to-use production scheduling and materials requirement planning solution that gives manufacturers complete visibility and control over their processes.”
“Automating your manufacturing processes in a simple and practical way will help your business gain significant competitive advantages and minimise costs and risks associated with high inventory levels,” says Jeremy Waterman, Sage Northern Africa and Middle East. “By using Sage 300 Manufacturing to rise to the challenges of a constantly evolving industry, manufacturers can stay lean, focused, and competitive.”
