The Ghana police said five members of a syndicate had been arrested in connection with a scam in which people were allegedly promised jobs at Glo Ghana, in return for payment.
Earlier this month, Glo Mobile warned the public against fake recruiters. In a statement, Glo Mobile Ghana said it had come to the company’s attention that some individuals were pretending to be recruitment agents for the company, and extorting money from people seeking work.
The company said it would never demand payment from people interviewed for possible job placements.
