Apple introduced its latest iPhone 16 model to the market on September 09. iPhone 16 models are integrated with artificial intelligence, new camera features, and larger display sizes. While all the iPhone 16 models are powered by the A18 chipset, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max come with the A18 Pro chipset. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be available in four colors: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. iPhone enthusiasts can pre-order the model from Friday, September 13.
When is iOS 18 Coming Out?
Apple users are waiting for the latest iOS 18 update to drop. There are many rumors about the latest iOS update. Anyway, your waiting will be over in just one week. Apple announced that the iOS 18 will be released on 16 September 2024, in the Glowtime iPhone 16 launch event. The iPadOS 18 will also be released along with iOS 18.
The beta version of both iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 has already been released during their WWDC event held in June 2024.
What is New in iOS18?
The iOS 18 update comes with a series of great features. Users can customize their devices according to personal preferences. In the previous version, it was not possible to customize the Home Screen of the iPhone. However, with the introduction of iOS 18, now you can customize your Home Screen, and place your favorite app anywhere you want instead of placing them from left to right, or top to bottom.
You can customize the Control Center by creating multiple pages of the Control Center and changing the size of your existing controls. In-built apps like iMessage will allow you to use any Emoji as a Tapback reaction and you can transform your text with underlines and italics.
The Photos app has been changed into a single-page design, and now it is possible to lock apps behind Face ID. Previously the saved passwords could be accessed through the Settings app, but now there is a dedicated Password app.
In iOS 18, users can react to certain messages with their favorite emoji or sticker instead of the usual thumbs-up and heart reactions.
iOS 18 Supported Devices
iOS 18 will not be compatible with every iPhone device. It will be compatible with the same devices that support iOS 17. Remember that not all these models will get Apple Intelligence. Below is the list of devices that will get iOS 18 update.

In the case of iPad, all the models starting from iPad 2019 to the iPad Pro M4 will receive the latest iOS 18 update. However, the Apple Intelligence features can be used only on recent devices.
The iOS 18 ensures more safety for its users. The messages are sent via satellite which are end-to-end encrypted. The Emergency SOS Live Video enables users to share their live video footage or photos during an emergency call.
The dedicated Game Mode in iOS 18 offers stable frame rates while making AirPods and other wireless accessories more responsive.
iOS 18.1 Beta 4 Release Date and Features
Apple has started testing the iOS 18.1 beta and rolled out the iOS 18.1 beta 4 version to testers. The new iOS 18.1 beta 4 was officially released to developers on September 17, 2024. The iOS 18.1 beta 4 will be the first beta version to be available on all iPhone models. The iOS 18.1 beta 3 was released on previous month.

- A change in the design of the connectivity section of the Control Center.
Apple has announced that they will release the iOS 18.1 in October 2024.
