Anthropic recently introduced the updated version of their Claude Sonnet AI model and a new model called Claude 3.5 Haiku. These models are intended for automating the overall computer tasks. This new feature enables the AI to guide the mouse movements and determine what type to use to complete complicated tasks. According to Jared Kaplan, the Chief Science Officer of the company, the feature is specially designed for coders and software developers to carry out complex and multiple tasks without much human effort.
The makers of the company stated that the developers, or coders can use a program that enables the AI model to move the cursor and start typing on a virtual keyboard. This is the latest generation of the Claude AI model. The AI model is also capable of coding a website and arranging activities for Google Search or Apple Maps.
The developers of Anthropic revealed that the new AI models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet and 3.5 Haiku will be the first to completely take control of the entire computer and guide it accordingly. Anthropic as of now has offered three versions of the newly introduced AI models. The three versions are unique from each other in terms of pricing and performance levels. The updated version of Claude Sonnet is intended to carry out the complicated tasks of the computer while the Claude 3.5 Haiku is expected to act as a text-only model as of now.
The company has confirmed the fact that the new model 3.5 Haiku has the same capabilities as the previous model Sonnet and will be able to generate any computer codes effectively. Anthropics has often remained at the forefront of producing some essential AI models and through the launching of their Claude 3.5 Sonnet and 3.5 Haiku the coders can come across excellent features.
The CEO of Anthropics Dario Amodei revealed to the sources after the success of 3.5 Hiaku, the company is already planning the updation of Opus, one of the most reliable AI models produced, towards the end of the year.
The newly launched AI models are soon enough to set competition in the market with their efficiency and capabilities. The main reason behind this is the 3.5 Sonnet and 3.5 Haiku can take over the whole PC along with browning any website or application while other AI models like Cognition AI’s Devin are designed especially for programming purposes alone.
It reduces the human efforts and performs the intricate tasks. Wired, a popular American magazine conducted demos where the AI models were asked to plan a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge for the sunrise with a friend. Upon the given instructions the AI models opened up the browser, spotted the best sunrise viewing spot, and even marked the upcoming trip to the calendar.
The demo was performed to check the efficiency and proper working of the model. According to the magazine, the new models were efficient in their work but yet lacked to give some prominent and helpful details like how to get to the place.
The company has received backlash from critics with the introduction of such capable AI models. The critics have shown their concern regarding the matter that fostering such models will further allow AI to take control of the whole world. However, the developers of the company have ensured that humans will always remain in control and be included in all the tasks while providing or prompting the Claude models to function accurately.
The updation of the 3.5 Sonnet and the new 3.5 Haiku is all set to mark a milestone in the history of the company as the AI ecosystem keeps getting stronger and will continue to influence greatly in the coming days.
