Airtel Networks Zambia Plc has today launched the 077 network code to add to its existing 097 numbering.
Managing Director, Mr. Apoorva Mehrotra announced the launch of the new code, saying the 077 was now part of the 097 Airtel family, giving customers a chance to create numbers of their choice.
“You use your phone every day and for that reason we want your phone number to be meaningful to you by giving you a chance to create a number that means something to you or your loved ones and enjoy making calls, texting or browsing, Mr. Mehrotra said.
Adding: “Airtel has always brought to you customer centric products and services and this is another of such products that will enable customers to select preferred number sequencing of their choice if available.”
Airtel acknowledges the critical role that customers play in the development of Zambia and taking the economy to the next level by providing globally admired technologies and services to the entire country to give everyone an opportunity to connect to the World through our products and services” Mr. Mehrotra said.
To reserve a particular number sequence, customers are advised to go to 077.airtel.co.zm and follow the prompts by following the format 077 00 XXXXX. After reserving a number, customers are advised to visit the nearest service centre to redeem their number. Additionally, customers can also get the 077 new sequence by visiting their nearest Airtel service centre.
