The Airtel Trace Music Star activation contest has now entered its second week.
Activation activities place in various residential areas which include South C, South B, Langata, Highrise (Nyayo), Kiserian, Rongai, Baba Dogo, Huruma, Outering, Kariobangi South, Donholm, Buru Buru, Imara Daima and Pipeline in search of the next singing star.
This week, the talent search will head to Kasarani, Githurai (44 & 45), Ruiru, Zimmerman, Kahawa West, Roysambu, Gumba Estate, Thome, Umoja and Utawala in an attempt to give hopefuls an opportunity to become music stars.
The activations are giving hopefuls a real opportunity to call, sing and stand a chance to be the next star in Kenya and possibly in Africa. The activation teams have been accepting entries, allowing Airtel customers to sing in any language of their choice, and in whatever genre they want; callers were allowed to use instruments as they register their songs.
The competition that started two weeks ago will see the winner walking away with Ksh 1.5M at the Kenya finale and thereafter, qualifies to compete in the grand finale where the ultimate prize comprises a mentorship program with multi-award winning American singer-songwriter Keri Hilson in Atlanta.
The winner will not only star in their own music video alongside Keri Hilson; he/she will get an opportunity to record a duet with the “Knock You Down” songstress, as well as receive a signed contract with a major music label and worldwide media exposure through various TRACE’s platforms.
With Airtel Trace Music Stars, all potential stars need to do is to call 0900 733 733 on their Airtel phones to stand a chance to be discovered, and they can call as many times they wish.
