Airtel star prize winner bags Range Rover

The star prize winner of Airtel Nigeria’s redhot promo, 50-year old Abiodun Adio, has said he plans to use the 2015 edition of Range Rover valued at N30million he won for a while then resell it to invest the proceeds.
Adio who is a truck driver, emerged the grand prize winner of a 2015 Range Rover SUV at the second edition of the promo in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital.
“Well, this is an unexpected gift from God. I thank Airtel for transforming my life. You can see that this car is too big for me. I cannot bear the cost of its maintenance but what I will do now is that I will drive it around a while and sell it off. It’s too expensive for me,” he told biztechafrica.com on the sidelines shortly after taking possession of the car key.
He said he would plough proceeds from the car deal to establish a block industry .
A father of two and resident of Akute, Ogun State he said when he received a call congratulating him that he had won a car, he reaction was that it was one of those fraudulent calls.
Adio who spoke in Yoruba language and managed to arrange himself in English language, went into prayer session for the prosperity of Airtel, its management and all the people that came out to witness his unbelievable transformation.
The promo which lasted for 60days also gave away one millionaire each day to 60 lucky winners. At the prize presentation seven remaining winners out of the 60 lucky winners received their own prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, Airtel Nigeria Managing Director Mr. Segun Ogunsanya said the telco has made touching lives the capstone of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
He said: “We pride ourselves as a company that is a status leveler. We spread prosperity wherever we are. You make phone calls with our network and we reach out to you. We love Nigerians. I am particularly pleased today that someone like Adio won the 2014 edition”.
